Dr. Khaled Abu Haleeqa

Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Consultant ophthalmologist, specialized in plastic ophthalmic and reconstructive surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Royale college of Surgeons in Ireland in 1998. He completed his Internship and became member of the Medical Association in Ireland the following year. Dr Abuhaleeqa received his ophthalmology Residency Training at University of Toronto. He also has completed three fellowship programs. One in oculoplastic, Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology from the University of Toronto and the other fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery from McMaster University, Hamilton. The Third Fellowship was in Ophthalmic and Orbital Oncology. Dr Abuhaleeqa has specialty certification and Fellowship designation from the Royale College of surgeon in Canada. He is The First UAE Citizen with Specialty in Those Fields. He is currently the Chief of Service at the Department of Ophthalmology Sheikh Shakhboot Medical City- Abu Dhabi, UAE (the largest Health Facility in the Country)

Academically, Dr Abuhaleeqa attained the position of Residency program Director for ophthalmology and Academic Affair Department Chair for many years. He as published numerous Peer reviewed Articles and Book Chapters in the field of ophthalmology.
